It may be important to make choices that close out images and messages that come into our homes via the media that are constant reminders of the broken world that surrounds us. It takes courage and strong resolve to unplug the T.V. or other communication media and allow the silence of peace to permeate our inner sanctuary. We are so accustomed to the din and confusion that an absence of it may seem unsettling at first. Even setting aside an hour a day to focus on the quiet inside will help us better create calm on the outside. This peaceful focus may be all that is needed to create peace where ever we may go when we leave our homes, ever expanding the sacred sanctuary we treasure. Choose to be a blessing of peace inside and out. There is an irrefutable law of the universe that says: “What we focus on we draw to ourselves.” Our greatest and most effective prayer for peace, then is to be the peace we seek. At the very least, it means while praying for peace our thoughts and feelings are on what we desire, not on thoughts of the war or discord we want to eliminate. This is why watching the sunrise or sunset or gazing upon the beauty of nature is so useful as our daily peace prayer.

Your heart is the gateway to your truest reality....

When you choose peace, you are invited to let go of all resistance. Soften yourself to the great, eternal Flow from your SOURCE,(that which exsited before you came into being,) that permeates all that is. When you let the Flow enter you and move effortlessly in you, there is a calm and a harmony. In order to really be aware of this Flow, let go of all the distractions upon which your mind tells you to focus endlessly. Focus on the Eternal now within the heart of your being. Looking behind you and thinking this is the way of your life does not give you the chance to discover how very powerful you are to create new ways to bring balance and hope into today. Today is a new day. Let peace be the way of new beginnings for yourself and the world you create this day...

Spring-cleaning is an ancient and wise tradition that creates new beginnings. Sometimes, it is all the attention we are paying to managing all the “stuff” in our lives that is pulling us out of alignment and giving us no rest. The effort we put into making sure our material world is safe and orderly keeps us constantly focused on minutia. A choice to simplify can sometimes give infinitely more space and time to enjoy and savor the now moment.
Where is the logjam that is taking up all your energy and distracting you? Many recent discoveries of the natural world point to the fact that with the beating of our hearts, the very bio-energetic field created around our bodies is identical to the bio-energetic field produced by the planet, the sun and moon and other planets in the solar system! We can only guess how the unrest in our human community must be affecting our little part of the cosmos.

You are invited to become an experience of the peace you long for. The sunrise and sunset is an awe inspiring time to experience peace. The beauty and mystery, the majesty and grandeur we experience as we look to the horizon at dawn or dusk is so compelling, we can easily let all other thoughts and concerns rest while we pause and just enjoy a peaceful moment of quiet while watching the sun light come or go .

The coming and going of the light in our world is something that happens continuously for all living beings on our planet, as the earth spins daily on its axis and revolves in a yearly rhythm around our Sun. As each of us commits to this moment of peaceful contemplation, peace, a real kind of lasting peace is experienced. It is like a cresting wave that washes over our world, just as the light of the sun does.

I dream of a gathering of simple peacemakers, where ever you are, at the moment of the coming or the going of the light. As more of us commit to this way of peace, it can wash over our world and build in intensity as more join this Wave of Peace. If we commit at those natural times of the day of peacefulness to focus only on our experience of peace in the moment, we can attract and create other moments of peace for ourselves and this fragile island home we call planet earth. Thank you for joining in this most important gift of blessing for our world as we journey together in Peace.
